Why SAP S/4HANA?

S/4HANA is the fourth generation of the successful ERP core product from SAP. This product sets new standards in the following areas:

  • UX (User Experience),
  • Realtime processing (In Memory)
  • Intelligent automation of business processes (Digital Transformation).

When should I make the change?

SAP will provide mainstream maintenance for SAP ECC 6.0 only until the end of 2027. Therefore, many customers are wondering when the right time is to change their system. Our experience shows that planning and preparatory work should start immediately. This prevents a time crunch which helps avoid a poor-quality migration to S/4HANA.

How do I migrate my system to SAP S/4HANA?

The migration of SAP S/4HANA consists of four steps. Each step will be discussed in detail with your staff and tailored to your requirements.

Roadmap to S/4HANA migration

Step 1 – Analysis

Step 1 consists of the analysis of your current system. This takes place on-site as well as remotely. During this process, both your existing business processes and implementations (like ABAP code, enhancements and forms) will be collected and examined.

Step 2 – Decision Making

Based on the analysis from step 1, the decision-making process takes place in step 2: how to migrate to S/4HANA and the architecture of the desired system. Existing business processes can now be newly implemented on the S/4HANA platform (Greenfield approach) or the existing ERP ECC system will be converted and adapted to the new features of S/4HANA (Brownfield approach). The new S/4HANA system can be operated, as before, on-premise or as a cloud-based installation with similar functionality.

Step 3 – Realization

Regardless of the approach (Greenfield/Brownfield) or architecture (on-premise/cloud based), existing processes, data and implementations must be adapted and optimized to be used in S/4HANA. In addition to the implementation process, training courses for users and developers, which were determined in step 1, will take place.

Step 4 – Go-Live

In this last step, the newly built SAP S/4HANA system will be subjected to a very thorough inspection. If the new system passes the test, the system will go live under productive conditions. The highest priority here is to minimize downtime of the processes. Any problems will be addressed quickly and solved in a short period of time. Our work doesn’t end before the new system operates to your satisfaction.

SAPUI5 & FIORI

After the migration to SAP S/4HANA we also offer the development of SAPUI5 and FIORI applications. By doing this, you will not only be utilizing the most state-of-the-art technology but will also be providing your users optimal use of the system. Additional information can be found here: FIORI/Mobility.
